Perry Signs have been gold leaf gilding since 1990. Using the finest 23 3/4 carat English gold leaf hundreds of letters and logos – signwritten onto hardwood - have been brilliantly gilded. This is really a plating process, covering the item with a thin, but durable, coat of metal. The appearance of burnished or polished gold leaf cannot be reproduced by any other method, and so, gilding is still widely used in sign making. Wrought Iron Gilding.
